Hello guys, Valentin is here today with AETOS review. AETOS is an Australian Forex and CFD broker. The broker is owned and operated by AETOS Capital Group Pty. Ltd.

The company headquartered in Sydney, Australia. The group has a global presence around the world, including in the economic powerhouses of London, UK and Shanghai, China.

AETOS is a reputable Forex brokerage company with its core principles of “Fairness, Efficiency, and Intelligence” along with its philosophy of “Customer-First”.

Although AETOS is an Australian company, most of the visitors to the website are Chinese and Thai. There are three different part of the website. These are AETOS UK, AETOS Pro and AETOS Direct. You can see them on the left top of the website.

You may be wondering if AETOS scam or not. What are the account types of the broker? Is AETOS regulated? How good are the trading conditions such as spreads, maximum leverage, and minimum deposit? You can find answers to all these questions in this AETOS review.

Regulation of AETOS

AETOS is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). The broker has an Australian Financial Services License. AETOS fulfills all the rules required by ASIC.

ASIC licensed brokers must meet specific requirements. For example, Forex brokers must maintain at least $ 1 million to prove their good financial position and operate legally. Also, client’s funds must be kept in segregated accounts separate from the company’s operational accounts.

Unfortunately, ASIC regulated brokers don’t provide compensation scheme unlike the UK FCA’s and Cyprus CySEC’s. Nevertheless, the broker is a member of Australian Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) to offer good financial services for its clients.

Also, AETOS Capital Group (UK) Limited is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Registration number 592778. I checked the number on the FCA’s website and it is true as you can see in the picture below.

Aetos regulaiton

In addition, FCA regulated brokers covers the client’s funds with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS protects the client’s money up to a maximum of £50,000 per person an per institutional when the broker bankrupts.

Account Types and Spreads

There are four different account types offered by AETOS. These are Mini, Standard, Professional, and Institutional account types. All account types are commission-free.

You can choose fixed or variable spreads depend on account types. Micro lots are available for Mini and Professional account types, EAs (Expert Advisors) are available for Mini and Standard account types.

The minimum deposit of the broker is $250, which is above the average. Most of the brokers require lower. For example, IPT Markets requires a $100 minimum deposit.

Let’s talk about the spreads. As I mentioned above, there are fixed and floating spreads and doesn’t include commissions. The mini account has fixed 2.0 pips spreads on EUR/USD. Spreads for the Standard account are fixed also and 1.8 pips.

Professional account type has floating 1.8 pips spreads. I think this one is the best but the minimum deposit for this account is quite high $2,000.

The last account type, Institutional, has floating 0.8 pips spreads. Spreads look like competitive, however, the minimum deposit is $50,000 for this account type.

The broker offers maximum leverage up to 1:400. Mini account type has this leverage ratio. Standard and Professional have 1:200, Institutional has 1:100 leverage ratio.

Trading Platforms

AETOS offers its clients to trade on the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Both of the platforms have mobile and desktop versions. You can use them on your Android and iOS mobile devices.

MetaTrader 4 is still the most trading popular platform because it provides everything that a trader needs. MT4 has a wide range of technical indicators, advanced chart tools, user-friendly interface, Expert Advisors (EAs), and detailed back-testing opportunities.

MetaTrader 5 is the new version of the MT4. This platform also has the same features and even more. For example, you can follow the economic calendar on MT5.

Trading Instruments

AETOS has a diverse product range including CFDs, Forex, indices, stocks, energy products, commodities and metals. Forex products are including 27 currency pairs, major and exotic pairs.

Indices including FTSE, NASDAQ, Wall Street, Hang Seng, Nikkei and DAX. Precious metals including gold, silver, copper, platinum and palladium.

Unfortunately, there aren’t cryptocurrencies. This is a disadvantage for the broker because Bitcoin and other cryptos are very popular among traders.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

There are various deposit and withdrawal options methods. These are wire transfer, credit cards, debit cards, Skrill, Neteller, and SafeCharge. The broker accepts deposits in USD, GBP, and EUR.

The best way to deposit your account is, of course, the credit card option. But there is a %3 fee all options except wire transfer.

Conclusion

AETOS is a duly regulated Forex broker. It has strong licenses from ASIC and FCA. It offers acceptable trading conditions. It would be better if the spreads were slightly lower. The broker has advantageous but also has disadvantageous.

Their customer service was good, they helped me a lot. On the other hand payment methods are limited and the broker should provide cryptocurrencies.
