What does ECN broker mean?

ECN stands for Electronic Communication Network. Okay, but what does exactly mean? It means Key To Markets directly communicates with other buyers/sellers when you issue a buying or selling order.

In other words, Key To Markets does not undertake your buying or selling order; instead, it acts like an intermediary between a buyer and a seller. This is very important feature actually.

Most of the scam brokers act like they are ECN brokers; however, in fact, they are just market makers. Being market maker is a huge responsibility, the broker must meet liabilities when a trader wins.

You must probably heard a story that one won and couldn’t be able to withdraw their money; it’s because they are market maker and didn’t deliver your buying/selling order to the market. They undertook the responsibility, they took their chances that you’d lose your money but you win. If you don’t wanna experience this kinda unpleasant situations you always have to look for an ECN broker, not market maker.

But beware they all say they are ECN brokers. Lucky for you, I know Key To Markets a true ECN broker. They win only if you issue a buying or selling order, that’s it.

Regulation and Investor Protection

Key To Markets Regulation and Investor Protection

Being ECN broker is not their only advantage, they are also FCA, FSC, and DMCC regulated forex brokers. I have dived deep and inspected their licences for a bit and they are legit.

Is Key To Markets Regulated?

Yes, it is regulated and here are their licence and registration numbers:

  • FCA in the UK with registration number 527809
  • FSC in Mauritius with licence number GB19024503
  • DMCC in United Arab Emirates with licence number DMCC-344359

Key To Market Contact Information

You can reach company through many ways. I think this is very important because all the complaints about forex brokers is because customers can’t reach their brokers. I tested their communication channels and all worked fine and I was able to reach a person whenever I try to communicate. However, I must say, they respond emails very quickly and detailed than other communication channels. Here are their contact information:

  • Email: info@keytomarkets.com
  • Tel (UK office): +44 20 3384 6738 (9 AM to 6 PM)
  • Tel (NZ office): +64 9955 1907

Key To Markets won various awards in last 5 years. Key To Markets works with various liquidity providers and some of them are well-known banks. I can say it is a reliable broker for those who are worried that Key to Markets is scam or not.

Spreads and Account Types

Key To Markets Spreads and Account Types

There are two types of accounts in Key To Markets . In general, only spread and commission rates change, depending on which account you trade with.

If you open Meta Trader 4 Standard account, spread will be 1.0 pip plus ECN raw spread but you will not pay any commission; on the other hand, if you open Meta Trader 4 Pro account spread will be only ECN raw spread but you will have to pay $0.06 / $0.08 round turn per microlot (0.01)

What Are Key To Markets Withdrawal and Deposit Methods?

Key to Markets has various deposit and withdrawal methods.

You can use the following funding methods: Bank Wire, Sepa, Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill, Sticpay, UnionPay, and Alipay. You can find the processing times at the table below:

Trading Instruments

What Are Key To Markets Trading Instruments?

With Key To Markets, you can trade forex, indices, commodities and shares. The only drawback is that you can’t trade cryptocurrencies. By the way, I can argue whether this is a drawback or not. It only depends if you wanna trade cryptocurrencies. Because the company already gives you a high leverage opportunities on other instruments. Trading cryptocurrencies with a high leverage is the riskiest and, in a way, it protect you from losing all your money.

Platforms

What Are Key To Markets Trading Platforms?

Company uses Meta Trader 4 platform which is the most popular as of now. With user-friendly interface of MT4, traders can easily use automated trading systems and custom indicators.

Traders use MT4 platform on their Mac and PC as well as on their Android and iPhone.

Key To Markets also offers to possibility of using Free VPS Service, FIX API, and Myfxbook Autotrade.

What is FIX API?

FIX stands for Financial Information Exchange. FIX API allows advanced developers and sophisticated traders use their proprietary algorithms and black boxes and can connect to Key To Markets servers and use Key To Markets protocol both to connect to company’s price data feed and execute orders bypassing the MT4 terminal, which, in the end, improves execution speed.

What is Free VPS (Virtual Private Server) Service?

With VPS you don’t need for special hardware or constant internet connection so as to run automated trading strategies. This reliable VPS enables traders to run their strategies 24/7 fast, and secure. The company gives this service for free. If you’re a sophisticated and expert trader this is an amazing service. I saw on their website that they use NYC Servers which is the industry leader as of now.

However, to be able to use this free feature you must meet some criterias:

  • for a free VPS base with a 1 CPU and 1 GB of RAM, you have to trade minimum 5 forex lots per month.
  • for a free VPS base with a 2 CPUs and 2 GB of RAM, you have to trade more than 10 forex lots per month.

If you think you will meet the requirements open a real account by clicking here, and then go to NYC Servers to sign up for a free VPS service.
