Hello everybody! I am going to tell you about STO forex broker today. Sto is online trading forex & CFD broker, offering its clients a multitude of ways to trade on the financial markets.

STO is a division of AFX Group established in 2009 and started its operations in 2010. STO is the trading name of AFX Capital Markets Ltd and AFX Markets Ltd.

They have offices in many of the world’s major financial centers such as London, Milan, Limassol, Shanghai and New York.

Regulation of STO

STO and AFX Group are trading names of AFX Markets Ltd and AFX Capital Markets Ltd. AFX Markets Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) FRN: 560872.

AFX Capital Markets Ltd is authorized and regulated by CySEC, license no. 119/10 and registration no. 253014.

Both FCA and CySec are reliable regulatory authorities, enforce strict requirements for financial services providers.

For instance, UK-regulated brokers must hold at least €730 000 and Cyprus-regulated ones – €1,000,000 in order to prove their financial stability.

Beyond regulation STO ensures that its clients’ account balances will not drop below zero, holding a positive balance in their trading accounts. Its clients’ funds are insured through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) and the Investor Compensation Fund (ICF).

The Classic account requires $100 minimum deposit for CySEC-regulated ones and $200 for the FCA-regulated ones.

Spreads are from 1.6 pips, there is no commission and maximum leverage is 1:30.

STO Premium account requires $2,000 minimum deposit for all clients. Spreads are from 0.4 pips + commission 2.5 USD per 100 000 USD traded. The maximum leverage is 1:30.

The Pro account is for professional traders who have experienced. It requires $10,000 minimum deposit. Spreads are from 0.3 pips + commission 2.0 USD per 100 000 USD traded.

The maximum leverage for all retail client accounts types is set to 1:30 depending on the underlying instrument of the CFD.

Trading Platforms

The broker provides two platforms. One of them is the most popular trading platform MetaTrader 4. The other one is its own platform AFX fast.

The MT4 supports automated strategies, offers an extensive back-testing environment and provides a number of technical analysis tools. It has a user-friendly interface, advanced chart tools and more.

STO’s proprietary AFX Fast platform offers institutional level forex with no dealing room intervention.
